Location: Caesar's Head State Park, South Carolina

Drive 1.1 miles past Caesars Head State Park on highway 276 to Raven Cliff Falls parking lot on the right. The trail begins across the highway from the south end of the parking lot.

Ascend 140 feet from parking lot to highest point of hike at 1.0 miles
Descend 500 feet from high point to turnaround point
Total Ascent: 640 feet

0.0 parking lot
0.2 turn right at maintenance building and cross dam
0.3 beginning of winter views to south
0.4 trail levels off after ascent
0.6 end of winter views
0.7 rocky overlooks on left
descend stairs through rhododendron
1.0 ignore faint trail leading back to right
trail levels after ascent
1.2 follow ridge briefly with slopes down on both sides
1.3 turn right at signed intersection
(the falls observation deck is to the left)
1.6 turn left at intersection with red post after gate
stream goes under road
1.7 turn left on road by old tires -- unmarked but easy to follow
(leaving Foothills Trail and blue blazes)
1.9 possibly a way on the left to descend into the valley
2.1 cross small stream
