Blaze: blue-gray on Frank Coggins Trail (15), yellow on Rim-of-the-Gap Trail (6), pink on John Sloan Trail (21), and orange on Pinnacle Pass Trail (20)

Main Features: Cliff Falls, numerous small waterfalls and water slides, cliffs, views, streams, unusual mountaintop bog

Animals: vultures, ravens, chickadees, pileated woodpeckers, butterflies, rufous-sided towhees

Location: Caesars Head State Park, South Carolina

The Frank Coggins Trail (15) begins directly across highway 276 from the state park headquarters building.

Ascend 350 feet to ridge top at 2.5 miles

For the next 1.7 miles the Rim-of-the-Gap Trail follows the base
of a cliff. There are numerous waterfalls, stream crossings, and
